This is escape & return.
A collection of experiences. A kind of travelogue of the senses.
I've always felt the need to get the most of my travels. I already took pictures of those places so it only felt natural that i too recorded it's sounds and ambiences too. Here you will see, and hear the places i go to, so you can escape, loose yourself and then return safely to wherever you are. Happy Trails.
Playa España
It was cold and the sun didn't want to come out. We left the camping site behind us and headed to beach. From huge boulders to small pebbles the sand was lined with rocks. Wind gusts came from the sea and apart from the lifeguards and a couple of guys there was no one to be seen, it was not a typical August beach day. Still, and for many, me included, a day like this at the beach is welcomed in any burning hot summer, it kind of feels like a break. and the light in a cloudy day like this, with thousands of trees surrounding the beach is just beautiful.
Amongst kilometres of tree filled cliffs near Gijón, the Asturian beach is a place known only to locals, campers and travellers that like us wanted to know the north shore of spain.
Sanabria Lake
This was our first morning in Spain in a trip that started in Portugal.
Sanabria was the place. About 10 kilometres from the medieval town Puebla de Sanabria rests Lago de Sanabria, a beautiful and relatively unknown lake with some pebble beaches. Families flock together to dip in the crystalline and fresh waters. Pedal boats and canoes cross the lake throughout the day and all you can hear is the water reaching the shore, people talking, children having fun and the surrounding nature.
There's a beautiful and peaceful camping site adjacent to the lake perfect for an escape of the busy city wether for a weekend or for a starting roadtrip through Spain.
